we wouldn't be stronger united lol, who's going to pay the bill to afford the 100 million poor sudanese and Ethiopians :gucciwhat: they're going to come for our resources than give us a 5 percent split like they did to Ogaden region :bell: and still be starving looking for more:liberaltears:
we literally would do better against a united bantu separate than joining forces with those countries:manny: theres not a single benefit for Somalia joining

let alone bantus now even all the nilotes are in the mix:drakelaugh:
in that cases they might as well push for pan africanism:russ:
and yeah South Africans are pretty smart, unity of large areas isn't always a good thing:lolbron:
they don't want these lesser African countries getting carried and eating off there success that the white man built them
The future is regional states and federations get with it or be left behind

regional federation states will be the ones getting left behind, as they are less united internally and have populations they can't afford or handle, basically taking the India model which sucks

Why are you moving like only Somalia has resources in this equation?

somalia is the only one in that union that has major resources and a small population that it can split it amongst and have everyone be well off like Qatar, thats why Ethiopians are dirt poor and sudanese are in the middle of a revolution because they can't buy bread, even if they had a lot of resources there population is too big (160 million) so they can't split it like in India, who has all these resources but everyone is dirt poor because of too much mouths to feed

did you forget about population, having a lot of resources is wonderful if you have a small population like Somalia or Qatar or Kuwait, if you have a 100 million population like Ethiopia or a 50 million population like Sudan those resources can't sustain that population lol, so they end up dirt poor like in India who has many resources but too much mouths to feed:farmajoyaab: manshallah Allah has blessed us with oil and a small population (14 mil) so we can sustain ourselves and be well taken care of and rich

Unity for me doesn’t mean becoming one nation or state btw I’m talking about a system similar to that of the EU.

we wouldn't gain from such a situation, we don't need Amhara or sudanese products in our markets or freedom of movement between our nations:faysalwtf: somalexit

all we need to do is build a wall to get and keep those poor hordes of 100 million (audibillah) habeshas and orromos out and allocate the oil wealth properly:siilaanyosmile: well be eating good inshallah
the hordes of habeshas live in the highlands and are a part of ethiopia
the horn union will be an economic union for example the eu and the arab league of arab states

you seem to be a little confused hope that clears things up

how is it isolantism :bell: we have oil and we sell it to oil consumers like the US and the UK,
who cares about these horn countries:gucciwhat:

an economic union for what :bell: they gain our ports and what exactly do we get:ivers:
thats right nothing because these countries are horrible economically considering they have low gdps for the amount of people they have and will probably soon overtake America in population :comeon:
UK left the EU because it wasn't getting anything out of it:manny: that was a smart call considering because of the EU the UK economy was decreasing yearly and getting passed up by states like California which is a perfect example of why were better single than united, its like if I have 100 dollars would I really want to pool my money with 40 guys who are putting up 200 dollars all together:susp:

This is simply a form of coexistence and peace as there are hundreds of thousands of Ethiopians and Eritreans in Sudan along with thousands of Somalis. No one is asking to merge countries... Sudan already has the highest per capita oil, gold, and arable land of all the following countries. Not to mention highest GDP per capita, literacy rate, and HDI - it's not abnormal for villages in the middle of nowhere to have literacy rates above 90%. No other country in the region can say the same, not even Egypt.

Somalia hasn’t got its oil out yet, plus Sudan’s gdp goes straight to thier presidents bank account lol, I probably send more a month to family in hawalas then they make a year for the average person, also their population is very large in the 60 millions meaning if we split are 600 billion barrels of oil between our small population we will be better off just like how Qatar is better of than Nigeria even though they have similar oil, Nigeria has 150 million to split it with while Qatar has 1 million to split it with, end of the day we’re better of than Sudan and will be even Egypt and more comparable to Qatar and uae so low population high oil states

You do realize the president was overthrown, and recently billions of dollars were deposited into our central bank? And you aren't the only one that sends money back home... We do too but there's nothing impressive about having your family back home surviving on welfare.

Where the hell did you get 60 million from? The population is 40 million with a stabilizing fertility rate. So your goal is to sit and wait for oil thinking you'll end up like Qatar??? Sorry but even if you do have oil you're decades late to the oil boom. Only way to prosperity is to educate your population, diversify your economy and invest in infrastructure so that you can end up like Turkey or Malaysia - And Sudan is far ahead of Somalia in this way, even with 30 years of economic disaster our infrastructure is far superior.

turkey and Malaysia suck lol, I'm sorry but your only way to propensity is incorrect, education and infrastructure is very overrated inshallah we don't fall for the infrastructure trick the UAE faced as it docent actually generate wealth and is a way to lose said wealth, which is why America is the most prosperous country but spends very little in infrastructure and education, as for the oil boom you can even ask guys like Elon that it will take 25 years at the earliest(if they take a hard approach and ban oil car production) for the west to come off oil and thats not even including Africa and Asia which is where a majority of the worlds market will be, and oil is a finite resource thats running out in the world in 20 years most of the world won't have it and well be among the few who do making it even more profitable than it currently is:mjlol: especially considering we have a 9 million population once you factor out independent Somaliland and there 6 million as @Abdurahman_somali pointed out, (they shouldn't get a slice of the pie), well easily be able to allocate millions to each citizen which can actually spur more wealth through investments not "education" and "infrastructure":drakelaugh:
