Habeshas were Yemenites but not Sabaeans

The assumption that the Abyssinians are Sabaean Yemenites, and originate from the area of the state Sabaa is definitely wrong. Ancient Yemenite (deciphered) epigraphic documentation testifies to the existence in the area of today's Yemen of one tribe / ethnic group named Habashat. Probably in several waves during the 1st millennium BCE different parts of that group moved to Africa crossing the straits Bab al Mandeb. The entire story is solemnly reflected in the Abyssinian Christian epics Kebra Negast.

Habesha’s are indigenous horners and the claim they’re mixed with Sabeans or Semites has been debunked.

Shamir of Dhu-Raydan and Himyar had called in the help of the clans of Habashat for war against the kings of Saba; but Ilmuqah granted ... the submission of Shamir of Dhu-Raydan and the clans of Habashat."[1]

Eritrean got 99% Horn African

23andMe categories are not ancient categories.

They use modern people as references.

Basically using an already admixed group of Habesha Ethiopians and Eritreans in this case.

But anyhow, the % of Yemenite in Habeshas is no more than 10%, but it is there.

Habeshas are 20-25% Yemeni

Habeshas migrated from Yemen and intermarried Agaw Cushites in present day Ethiopia. They have nothing in common with the people of the ancient Askum empire. And yet they claim their history. There are a lot of massive misunderstandings/lies told in the horn. One of them being Somalis are a mixture of Arab and Cushites and the Habeshas are indigenous to the Horn. But this is a lie. Somalis are the indigenous people of the horn, whereas the Habeshas are the ones who's forefathers were Arab men who took Agaw women to conceive the Habesha people. Truth is the Habesha were mostly born out of wedlock. And their Agaw mothers were concubines to Arab men.

It's 20-25% Semtic admixture in Habesha but it is 10-15% for Oromos

You and our resident historian and geneticist @Apollo Seem to have differing views.:hmm:

It might sound like a silly question, but if their Yemeni admixture is that high, why do they not look that different to pure Cushites like us?

Does Ancestry and Myheritage have ancient categories, is that why the results are so different to 23andme?

If so, isn't that one technically more correct and shows the true mixture?
