Why even do this when you’ve already captured and brought them back under your control? I hope they receive backlash for this and if it happens repeatedly and result in the Palestinian cause loosing support when people view Hamas=Palestine, then that’s on them.
Unless Hamas reform, Palestinians need another political organization and resistance movement that’s solely focused on how to achieve their objectives with as little damage as possible. Collateral damage occurs during wars, but when it’s intentional, then something is wrong. Given how they massacred hundreds of the festival goers when they entered Israel, I think it’s evident who they really were aiming at. Maybe they want to get the same reputation as the Israeli state?

That’s why I mentioned their mistake given the context and the need for Hamas to reform to yield better likelihood for success. If this was an honest mistake, I can understand. But if it’s systematic, then they are doing no one a favor and should see how they can change approach. First of all, how do you know what my stances are on Israeli? If you’ve seen posts on this topic, you’d know that I’m as critical to Israel as one can get. Just go through this thread, I support the Palestinian cause without any condition on my end.
Speaking of Israel, the entire existence of the state is built upon oppression. Hence, why I’m of the opinion that Palestinian have a right to resistance, through qalin or qori, whichever way they see it fit.
In my other post I was not taking about settlers, but rather ‘civilians’ in general. I think many of the deaths came from people who attended a festival. But this is irrelevant, my point is that you have clear guidelines through our deen in terms of what we are allowed and prohibited from doing.
