It looks like they want to secure and make sure that Hamas fighters are removed from the Israeli side of the border. And deploy the Israeli army on all corners of Gaza, from the Egyptian border to the sea, to then launch an invasion.

Given the recent air bombardment along with prohibiting basic necessities from entering Gaza and their health care being on the brink of collapse, it doesn't look too promising for the locals.

Expect the total Palestinian casualties to exceed 10k in a few days. Imagine after a ground invasion, it will probably reach 20-30k. May Allah be with the innocent people.
