Somali civilian show their support to a group of Somali United Congress (USC) rebels, armed on a tank in Mogadishu, Somalia. Rebel troops of the Somali United Congress (USC) took control of Mogadishu, after a three week long war with Government troops.

The Somali National Movement (SNM) gained control of the north, while in the capital of Mogadishu and most of southern Somalia, the United Somali Congress achieved control.
