I do agree with you because the South will never get their affairs in order and Puntland doesn't know if it is a separate state or part of Somalia because all indicators are if Somalia isn't ruled by a Puntlander, they have no interest in Somalia's politics. Some here are promoting PIM (Puntland Independence Movement) to that effect, Somaliland should try to be more inclusive towards other clans who lost hope in Puntland. One clan of three families rules Puntland. Somaliland has shown other clans do have a chance to rule it. Bravo.

So long as there’s an incentive for tribe above all else (poverty, etc), clan politics will persist. I won’t comment on the rest.

It doesn’t matter if the South gets their affairs in order or not. The only conviction I have about Somaliland is that it should stay separate and never rejoin. Idk why Somalis suffer from this “unity” pipe dream. SL fell victim to it when it had the chance to be independent, and the negative results of the unification rush Northerners fell for could not be made more clear.

The fact is, Kenyan Somalis, Ethiopian Somalis, Djibouti Somalis, SL and South Somalis are not “one” (never were either) and they never will be. The lines, even if imperialy imposed, are not as inconsequential as people like to dream they are. Somalis are not a special case. All of Africa and certain parts of Asia are dealing with the repercussions of imperially drawn borders, which separate tribes and ethnic groups across border lines, but “unity” wet dreams have never fixed that issue and they never will. And I t’s completely naive to think they will at this point.

I don't give a damn about clan and most importantly, I will always criticise my clan and clan enclave. Puntlanders are diverse of people whose ancestors were born and bred in other regions and see Somalia and Somalis differently than those whose who were raised in Puntland when it was a small place. If you do think that I'm not genuine wishing somalilanders a happy 18th May day? Then, you don't know me.

Do you mean they’re different qabil wise because otherwise I can’t see the difference in fact the Kenyan, Ethiopian and south(jubaland) Somalis literally interchange places ever few years and relocate:siilaanyolaugh: the same dhulos in sanaag May have summer homes in they’re areas of kismayo, the borderlines are pretty much inconsequential
