Has anybody here moved out?

I want to move out and get my own apartment. I get treated like a child when I literally pay for our household rent. Plus I’m tired of the overly controlling attitudes of my parents, it was more tolerable when I was a kid but it’s going overboard now. Can’t even go out to see a friend without intense interrogation.

I’m in the process of saving up right now. Has anybody else moved out of their family home? What was your experience like?

In the west? You can but you’ll be miserable.

If you can afford to move out then move out but if your family cannot afford you moving out, then don't move out.

Moved out in my late teens for a bit to pursue qashin activities. The sense of "freedom" is short-lived. Coming home to an empty gaff after work gets lonely.

You'd be better off having a frank conversation with your parents and setting a few boundaries. Save for a mortgage wallahi, renting's shit and 99.9% of landlords are apathetic dickheads who take weeks to fix simple things.

Can relate to this , been back after graduating from uni and its unbearable dealing with what im certain is undiagnosed mental illness.
