You can’t compare Hassan sheikh and farmaajo without defaming one with fake news. Farmaajo had anti corruption committee, so nothing corrupt happened, at least financially

IMHO , they actually did a very good thing. Puntland elites should never ever lead Somalia again. That will also force PL elites to focus on their state instead of using it as a platform to become PM/President of Somalia. A lot of things like 1M1V were delayed by decades in PL because the elites there were focused on power in Mog. Mog majority made their position very clear in ‘91 laakin Soomaali dantooda magartaanNope it’s deni tol that stabbed him in the back he lost 20 mp from puntland to farmaajo and khyr if he had those veto he will have been the president
Lol @ 400milThen stop begging me and let's see who needs who.
You do know that even if the international aid is completely cutoff, we can use the nearly 400 million domestic revenue? The aid is just an extra bonus and complementary. If you think we will somehow be forced to negotiate with the federal government, you are greatly mistaken..
The illegal "anti corruption committee" he created when his mandate ended stopped corruption during his term, yeah rightYou can’t compare Hassan sheikh and farmaajo without defaming one with fake news. Farmaajo had anti corruption committee, so nothing corrupt happened, at least financially![]()

Anti corruption committee was started in 2019 and was ended in 2022 by Hassan government. If a thief plans on stealing, he would disable the camera’s right?

Some people here will vehemently defend Farmaajo as some sort of an incorruptible nationalist but ask yourself why he never appointed a constitutional court/judge for the six years he was in office? I don’t support President Dhiiqo but we would have been out of this mess if he did the above. He didn’t because he clearly didn’t want any court to have power that could challenge him. Now he screams from outside ‘waawarey!’The president signed anti corruption bill into law in 2019 but the commission was formed at a later date when the government's mandate had ended

You are assuming that corruption at this level is sustainable. It is most certainly not and something will break eventually. Most likely sooner than not. You can either loot shamelessly for yourself or concentrate power in Somalia, but not both. Farmaajo tried to concentrate power but even he knew he couldn’t loot at the same time. Pick your poison maryooley! Why are you guys bothering to argue? The FGS is above scrutiny, accountability. No angels are going to run the FGS. You need to be a practical super villain to survive in that job. Don't look for it to change, the clan of the president is largely irrelevant. They will be corrupt as hell and centralize power. That's the only certainty.
Even if some how you get a principled man in the office, the corruption is systemic. The web of nefarious actors around government, in its institutions at all levels would quickly conspire against him.

Farmaajo corruption was using Ethiopia to suppress other FMS, stopping funds for PL, he also attempted to hijack the country. For the FMS he’s as bad as HSM, even worse in that he had much larger capabilities and he used all of it to centralize. He’s corrupt I’m not saying he isn’t, but it wasn’t financially, you could rest easy knowing Somalia’s money was going where it was supposed to.You are assuming that corruption at this level is sustainable. That’s what I’m saying, he was trying to centralize power which is another form of corruption. The unfortunate thing for him is he wasn’t born from the tribe that is the majority in Mog. Hence, he was always a ‘guest’ and they would eventually overthrow him. Hawiye made this point clear 30 years ago but some Daroods just don't get it. Even murder and ethnic cleansing didn’t make the point crystal clear to them lol. You even have a large population of MJs living in cabdicasis where they were probably massacred in ‘91. Somalis are averse to thinking. They just bang their heads against the wall like lemmings until they die. He had between september 2019 and october-december 2020(when the parliament's mandate would end) to form the commission, but no, he decided to wait until the time to create them was finished(april 25). Even the upper house speaker, abdi hashi, commented on the legality of this commission.x.com

you said his mandate ended by then which is true, but that doesn’t change that they are an IMF overseen creation, dissolving them is nothing but nefarious. He didn’t immediately replace them with a new one either
Financially 2017-2022 had isolated incidents of corruption, and when it did happen there was consequences for those that engaged. Nothing could escape the eyes of the central bank & abdirahaman beileh which is why Hassan had to get rid of them too.
Which money? Xhildhiban or military? There was ghost soldiers who were never part of SNA and were just random people not enlisted in the biometric system so they didn’t get any pay. And xhildhiban salary was lowered by the giver if I’m not mistaken. If nothing could escape the eyes of the central bank and beileh where were they when monies meant for the government were not deposited in government accounts? No amount of sheeko sheeko will change this.
