It's mostly Kenyan Kikiyus, thus my title, I have a load of friends from Tanzania never heard this shit from them.

Paul Kagame is a real 6,2 and the mom is at least 5,10 which is the 99th perecentile for a woman and equivalent to a 6,4 male. It makes sense why the daughter ended up that tall.

I think the Tutsi have actual Nilotic genes in addition to their Cushitic derived Ancestral East African (proto-Nilotic) genes.
1. Yes, the height is from the mother's side. PK's family is averagely tall -- by Rwandan standards -- whereas his wife has 7-footers in her family. And she's 6' tall, herself. Kids are: 6'7", 6'5"(daughter), 6'6", and 6'3". The son-in-law is 6'9".
2. You are also correct about the actual Nilotic genes. There were two waves of migration into Rwanda that together -- plus a little extra -- make up the Tutsis. The first, a VERY tall, dark, Nilo-Cush group of warrior pastoralists from the north (down the Nile). The point of origin is thought to be the upper Nile area. It was this group that carried these recent Nilotic genes. The Cush part of this group's DNA was similar to that of the Nothern cushites like the Beja. It's also from this group that the Ugandan Hima departed. It's why there are almost no light-skinned Himas, whereas the Tutsi colour spectrum is quite diverse. Anyway this is the group from which the first Rwandan kings were born, and which established the royal Nyiginya clan. PK's wife is from this clan. The second group arrived shortly after, from the south: shorter, much lighter, and more distinctly afro-asiatic -- the Southern cushites. Point of origin is somewhere around Karagwe in Tanzania. The Bega clan, also a royal clan (who breed wives for the Nyiginya) are mostly from this group. PK is from this clan. The amalgamation of these groups, plus some bantu DNA of the host population is what makes the "Tutsis." This is why you have Tutsis who look "Amhara", others who look "Kikuyu", "Somali", "Dinka" and "Bantu" and everything in between. I'd say the most common "Tutsi" look, though, is a slightly more Cushitic Maasai.
