Have We Acknowledged Just How Devastating

We won't
As long as the AU, UN, NATO or any sort of international law exists, we won't
And are we going to let thousands of Somalis risk their lives for a scarcely populated desert?
We have to live with that

That scarcely populated desert contains crude material's.

The Ogaden Basin is an area of Ogadenia that holds significant reserves of crude oil and natural gas.[1] The basin covers an area of some 350,000 square kilometres (135,000 square miles) and is formed from sedimentary rocks up to 10,000 meters (6 miles) thick.[2] It has geological similarities to other hydrocarbon-rich basins in the Middle East.[3]

They should never abandon their territories for the dirty habeshi to take. K5 is doing better than it ever has today. They have more autonomy then they have ever had, their only problem is they themselves are quite corrupt. They have even made friends with the powerful Tigray, who thought that could have happened. If they keep their act together they will do great, and if their hydrocarbons are to be used they should develop well if they are sharp enough.

The only shit hole is the NFD. The most underdeveloped region in Kenya. They need to go and take what is theirs.
What ever prosperity K5 has, it's going under Ethiopias name. They should bring their skills to the mainland and help the wider Somali people. Leaving K5 won't be that hard, it didn't hurt the Jews when they went back to Israel after they've been gone for 2000 years

Its kinda ironic how a war to unite Somalis ended up dividing the country.

That is completely incorrect. It wasn't the war that destroyed the nation and it did not divide us. It was simply one factors that lead to the civil.

We'll waste a shit tonne of money and resources that should be going to Somalia on that war. Even if we take Ogaden, there will be heavy sanctions on us and no one will bye the hydrocarbon that we offer them. We'll have to rely on our own resources and like @McLovin said, fix our own shitholes before we fight to have more shitholes.

We might be able to get the Ogaden back if Ethiopia collapse and Balkanizes into many little states. That is the best outcome for us.

Ethiopia is a nation of many different ethnic groups. How could you expect so many people that do not share a language to work together? They have even used starvation to keep the largest ethnic group handcuffed. It is only natural that they break up. Their collapse is long overdue, I hope it happens sooner rather than later.

It's sad Wallahi... It should be given back to us.

I hate Ethiopian people with a passion.

Next time I see the beggars this summer I will tell them to go back home and swear at them the swine

I'm not even too bothered about the ogaden. It's how we handled the loss back home that's left me dumbfounded

Yea that mass killing of officers was just an atrocity and all of those guerillas that formed were a tragedy. If Barre vacated the seat after 78 Somalia could have taken a different trajectory. If only ey.

:drakewtf:
And what do you hope by achieving in doing that? Losing the war was not the biggest tragedy. It's how we handled it back home
