ok ..... I watched more of the video and saw that the guy in the thumbnail is actually in it, but using him as the main image for a video about Somalia to an audience of over 1.7 million still feels insensitive. It just reinforces stereotypes about us as pirates and introduces to even more people.

Aside from the click bait hes actually less bias than everyone else so far, he discusses the real situation of somalia. But he just glosses over siad and says weve been in violence since the 50s.
He suffers from the same problem though its like he is stuck in 2010 and I cant blame him though, our image is still pirates and violence.
I also blame the tour guides they just focused on the worst parts of muqdisho. Hey u guys can not claim muqdisho but to any outsider muqdisho is who we are you cant differentiate. Its a somali city.
