dont get into coding, become a truck driver. Coding is cooked career. Computer science is over, Cybersecurity is over, Everyone and their mommas are doing that now. You know what avoid anything if it has to do with coding. companies are laying off tens of thousands. what jobs were left are being taken by them. Take my advice.

Thats not true sxb. Coding will not die out any time soon.

Good advice but am in Somalia

What programming language do you know? Unless you are going to be coding for apple products, then just any computer will do.
Get a used one, or wait until black Friday to secure a good one for a good deal.

Also, how the hell do you know a few languages? I've been coding for god knows how long and I only know one language.

Its not that hard to pick up many different languages, like if you know C, then Cpp and C# are gonna be easy to pickup. same thing with static & dynamically typed languages. If you want to learn more just pick up any language and start with implementing the normal data structures and algorithms.

Stay away from tutorial hell unless you need to grind in a limited time frame

if your not stupid then you will be fine in the cs industry

most people in cs are there from some code bootcamp

I don't think CS is dead yet at all, I know a lot of people getting coop/internships. And some of these people don't even have high gpas and some are meh coders. The jobs will teach you most of the time. Just make sure you are very outgoing and personable they love those types of people. Also, everyone wants to get into the top companies but aim for everything else.

the thing with the meh coders or people who dont have great intuition in this industry are gonna get stuck at their current level.

you need to have crazy intuition and soft skills to pair up with that to move up. In CS theres two things you need to avoid
  1. Not getting foot in the door/being ostracized from the industry
  2. being 30+ and stuck at mid level engineer

Yeah thats true. For a student in uni its acceptable or fine id somewhat say? But if you've been in the industry for awhile thatd be crazy.

You can purchase hp stream from Walmart. They aren't expensive. The good thing about them they are light weight and my sister high school used them for 4 years they are durable and fast. The simplest programming language you can learn is Python and you don't need a compiler there are online ones you can use for free. You can purchase cheap programming book from. Thrifty books, but I would suggest don't purchase any programming book past 2018. Once you master Python you'll understand all programming language are similar but the syntax are different. Good luck sxb
