Semantics. If he was an Arab, they'd be talking about an inferiority complex to "sand-". When those pictures of some Korean guy getting married to a Somali girl were floating around, we'd suddenly developed an inferiority complex to Asians/Koreans ('cuz K-POP lol!) practically overnight according to people where I am. It's how they reason away complete strangers making life decisions they don't agree with, and it's the same tired narrative every time.
