Hiding your cooking power level from xalimos

Go for it my brotha and don't let nobody shame you about that either it's a dog eat dog world. The same women calling you a piece of shit would be doing backflips and handstands if their gold-digger friend married a rich man that buys them stuff everyday. If broski over here finds a girl willing to do all that for him then mashallah. If one of you gyal find a simp that doesn't let you raise a finger then mashallah.

Why hide a positive marketable skill tho? Logic would dictate that you advertise your chef-status when you are looking to get married.
If you want your wife to do most of the cooking and you are the bread-winner, simply find a wife that is at least just as enthusiastic about cooking or ideally a better cook than you.
You should still display your full abilities and treat your wife to nice home cooked food when ever possible.

A real man tells you he can cook but obviously I wouldn’t expect him to cook everyday lol a little common sense goes a long way and besides cooking so easy am more worried about bills being paid on time

Its not about kindness they have an issue with me defending somali women and talking about the unfair treatment in our community where they dump all household duties and responsibilites on to the wife
Stop being dishonest. People have an issue with you because your views are a bit extreme; you basically advocate for husbands/men to be slaves. You’re acting like only macho fags disagree with you when in reality it’s most men, even the more liberal/moderate ones at times.

Extreme?

If you work 8 hours come home rest for an hour to unwind than help your wife around the household or with the kids that's not extreme

The number of times someone claimed to be a great cook and only to be served steamed vegetables and olives:damedamn:

Olives are the only difference between a green and a greek salad tho :ohlord:
apart from feta cheese and the last letter ofc but akhi don't spoiler the secret ingredient that upgrades you from an iskaabulo kitchen vandalist to a respectable hobby chef

:mjohreally:

Kids aren’t the issue. It’s the household chores.
If she was working too then it’s different but if she’s a housewife then it’s her obligation to do the housework. Imagine coming back from 10 hr of wagecucking and gay commute only to spend the rest of your day doing housework. And that’s not even 50% of the chores, you have to take shopping and other crap into account. That’s only for a comfy 9-5 too. Maybe that works for you but to most people that’s slavery and you shouldn’t be advocating for it.

Anyway that’s not the point. My point is that whenever you get called out on this, you always fall back on the “why am I getting hated on just because I care about my wife and kids” strawman.

Shes the housewife and if your working it makes sense that she does the majority of the household duties when you're at work

But when you're back from work and taken some time to unwind how is it slavery when you do things around your own home you live under the same roof you both got a responsibility to look after the house

I never said that men shouldn't know how to cook. Obviously if I'm alone or with my family I'm gonna cook but I'm not cooking for the wife. I only said that I'd be hiding it

@Mercury how much % do you think the man and woman should do at home

Nothing wrong with cooking, I was 10 when I started hunting and trapping birds during my tahriib in Tanzania , I was an illegal alien in a foreign country , no Somali would dare look at me , I was a dibjir or jokora (Swahili for hooligan).
But thanks to my nomadic skills I've learnt from my rural life in Somalia, I already knew how to get clean water from the ground by digging or grabbing roots to extract water. It paid off.
I gathered two branches of sticks ,I would use my hands to rub the sticks and voila it makes fire , I roasted the shimbir , I gotta admit it was burnt but I wasn't hungry for the night. I've learnt small small things during my survival , I was never dependant on anyone. The Somalis would give me strange looks , waxaan waa afrikaan ,
they weren't feeding me so I didn't care.
I learnt to fish in Mozambique's river and Malawian kids would join me.
I occasionally like Braai BBQ or Somali restaurants when I hangout with the homies.

I don't have time to cook everyday since I travel from city to townships , I mostly eat at vendors.
But once at home I make quick decent meals with the right ingredients .
Indian xawaash and Indonesian spices are also essential for seasonings , I would never cook without either these two .

Somalis percieve men that cook negatively it's a stereotype that is so common.

When I see threads like this I wonder what happened with compassion?

You probably expect a wife to cook and treat you like a king yet you won't put in the same effort as her marriage is a partnership

I think it’s time we realize what it really means to be married to the average farah and realize you’re entering into a lopsided animus relationship by default. These guys here are given us a glimpse of what goes on in the minds of the average farah and their views of marriage. No wonder the high divorce rates and absent fathers in the community. These guys come into the marriage with selfish agendas and skewed minds from the get-go.

Nah, its more than that. Marriage is more of a gain for a man, because now you get someone looking after you. Before marriage as women, we only need to worry about our jobs and education and obviously helping our families, but we have brothers and sisters to help.

Married women around me, young and old have always said cherish your single days.
