The document doesn’t exclude PL or SL but the Somali constitution says federal states must be consulted and clearly that didn’t happen so I think there might be a way out of this. It is clearly unconstitutional.

No body is against oil drilling or making a deal with Turkish firms to conduct the operation, but the protest is about the lack of transparency, as I understand there's is no mechanism or an independent audit system to prevent the Turks from abusing the cost recovery.. Literally they could do as they wish.. While Some gullible idiots would be screaming their lungs out our Turkish brothers.

I mean, there is zero transparency in Somalia, period. There are many documents like this that have been signed but not seen, many shady deals, etc. Somalia doesn’t even have a constitutional court where you could take constitutional issues but they want to change the constitution. PL has its own constitutional court, why not FGS? It’s all a totally corrupt system and it’s on purpose.

I was not suggesting there be any kind of battle or war over this with Turkey, just that it may be possible to wiggle out of it, hopefully. Fighting them doesn’t achieve anything under any circumstances. Im sure if they are told to leave they will, and then they will sue.
