If i were to make a movie it would be in the cowboy theme and it would be a rash geeljire/cowboy and a shy poet who is aspiring to be a sheikh.

By the end of the movie the shy poet will become more confident and the rash geeljire/cowboy would gain wisdom and patience.

It would be a good film for the moral fiber of the society.

A story on the seven seas is very plausible as somali maritime history is undisputed.

If we want to strengthen the claim that Somalis brought islam to the maldives we could make a movie on it.

Our main problem is that we do not have access to much of the written chronicles left by the lofty sultanates, and there is no push towards any meaningful archeological investigation into Somali history.

We are on the brink of losing our language and culture let alone delve into the past. Somalis really need to get a grip. The academically inclined among us have to make a revival of our history.

It is now easier than ever to make animations, short films and even movie adaptations of our folklore, history and culture. This should be promoted.

Our language? How?
