House speaker of Ethiopia's parliament resigns

Ain't the oromo guy just a PM? They still have a habesha president.

Yes, we have an oromo PM, Amhara president, Somali speaker for upper house, Tigray Minister of Health, Somali minister of finance, oromo defence minister, Amhara chief of the Army and the other ministries are all run by different ethnic groups including Southerners, Somalis, Tigreans, Amharas, Oromos etc. Welcome to Ethiopia.

Why donโ€™t afars or sidamas get any high positions?

I don't know about Sidamas but I know at least one federal minister from Afar. Afar language is also one of the four languages that is in the process to be added as federal languages. But remember that we have only some 20 ministries and over 80 ethnic groups. It is impossible for all ethnic groups to get high positions at the same time :ftw9nwa:
