How alcoholics from the diaspora are rehabilitated in Somalia

We need to build even more prisons and throw all the addicts in there till they detox, I'm including khat, weed and etc. They're dead weight that we have to get rid of to be able to move forward. We've picked up some bad habits since the war.

Dhaqan celis is bullshit. They’re just going to find some plug and drink even more alcohol than before because it’s so cheap!

Alcohol is actually more expensive in Somalia cause it’s illegal to sell so hard to find. One time in xamar we were baashaling. At a checkpoint our car got searched. They found a bottle of liquor, and confiscated it. You won’t get arrested or fined unless you’re laangaab. Later that night, we saw the same police sergeant who confiscated it chilling at his table enjoying our drink.

Dhaqan celis does not work kkkk

This ciyaalsuuq kid, just a kid ( just ciyaalsuuq, not doing criminal activities) was sent to them dhaqan celis prisons. I even heard they where run by al-shabaab. Those prisons are not a joke. You get beaten up everyday etc.

Long story short, he escaped and came back home. 2 weeks in and he was selling drugs, something he wasn’t doing before
