Fifth Estate is like our version 60 Minutes but it usually touches on 1 issue per episode. Our regular national news broadcast that the CBC does is called the National. Its just a left wing analysis of our news masquerading as centrist. Trudeau is lightly criticized unless guest panelists are brought to discuss issues. We have 2 left wing parties here the New Democrats and the Liberal Party the NDP are far left and the Liberals under Trudeau have chased them across the left side of the political spectrum. the only defining difference today is that the Liberals are an establishment elitist party and the NDP are grassroots. Our Conservative party is a centre to rightwing establishment elitist party but we have some grassroots right wingers in there too.@The Kaiser
Merci Sxb, I thought you had commercial TV stations. I only watched one CBC program called, “The Fifth Estate” on YouTube and I thought that they were very similar to our national broadcaster the ABC. I thought they covered very respectfully and sensitively a documentary about the killings of young Somalis in Canada called ‘The Life and Death of Abdinasir Dirie’. It’s hard to judge by only one documentary, is that how you see it guys?
