Population residing in Minnesota is 70,000 or only 38% of the total Somali population in the US.
Minnesota does not contain a majority of the Somalis in the United States!

This is a shock.

Also there are more people born in Somalia living in the US than in the UK.

In sweden its between 70-100k, you see somalis in every city of the country, from the polar circle all the way down to the south.

I always assumed the population in Canada was on par with the U.K.

Honestly I dont know what happened 5-10 years ago there were WAY more somalis in canada maybe even more then the USA, but it's like half the population left.......

I know alot of people moved to USA, but still it's crazy what happened to the community in canada.

I would say after 2010 america population was starting to pass us. I'm not gunna lie alot of people went to america especially the older men as it was easier to make money in America then in canada. If your an immigrant with no education canada is a big waste of time.

That’s understandable considering how late 2000’s onwards uk barely took in Somali freshies

actually no, there's many of them in streatham, Eastern london, Hounslow and Hayes, North london.

But Harlsden is where majority there are somalis along with streatham

Canadian Census undercounts Somalis there’s probably 80k with around in 50k in Ontario province 20k in Alberta and 5-10k rest of Canada

It's surprising how few Somalis live outside the core neighborhoods (Dixon + Lawrence-Weston + Parts of the Scarborough/East-York). I can go a month without seeing a Somali in most of the GTA. Filipinos and Punjabis on the other hand are EVERYWHERE.
