how can AS still have a strong hold in Somalia when the entire country is filled with armed militias/ trained soldiers?

Let’s estimate the number of trained soldiers in Somalia. Some reports were saying that as much as 2000 soldiers were deployed in Raskamboni and we know there’s a war there and this number is true, then the soldiers jubaland state sent must have been equivalent or perhaps even more. Even if we go with a conservative number, there was at lest 3k soldiers who took part in that skirmish. So here’s my estimate;

Federal soldiers under the control of the Somali government, around 25k

Puntland: 8k soldiers, little to no

Khatumo: 6k soldiers and 4k milita(the entire region is armed)
Galmudug, this one might have more clan militias than trained soldiers for the state. So let’s say 8k trained soldiers and another 10k clan militia.

Hirshabeele 5k soldiers and another 5k clan militia, mostly macawislay.

koonfur galbeed; 10k trained soldiers, relatively little to know militia. These guys are more civilized.


finally jubaland, I would say around 10k soldiers, little to know militia.
That’s over 80k armed men, and I didn’t even count somaliland and the amisom soldiers.
I am not one to believe in conspiracies but I am starting to believe that AS might be a cia/uk project but why?

Somali federal government troops and macwislay would not be deployed to hirshabeele and galmudug if they had state troops. Explain where you got these figures from
