i’ve been looking into this for years. a lot of people assume we are “mixed” with arab because we have different features than other black africans. That is simply because we are cushites and have little representation on a global level. technically speaking everyone is “mixed” but it’s not true that we are mixed with arabs. that wouldn’t even make sense because there were somalis wayyy before any arab showed up
