The Gadabursi still miss a lot of representation and their needs are not being met or respected especially by this administration. It is not the Gadabursi that need Somaliland. it's the other way around, especially with the intra-Isaaq tensions. It was one of the reasons Dahir Rayale was elected.Spare me with the Samaroon internal disputes. Ahmed Samatar is the most prominent Gadabursi individual in the Diaspora, that's a fact.
Even Dahir Riyaale, a Makahiil Gadabursi was President for 7 years and Isaaqs were cool with it.
Regarding Gabiley, the small number of Samaroon there are guests and nothing more. They are a minority community that live there at the pleasure of the majority Habar Awal Jibril Abokor clan who are the natives of Gabiley region.
As for northern Harti, they can at least truthfully claim to have no representation in SL. But the Gadabursi have no such leg to stand on.
The Isaaq were not cool with Dahir Rayale and were vehemently in opposition, especially the Habar Jeclo and Habar Awal. Also Dahir Rayale does not speak for the clan. He speaks for Reer Dudub-Jibril Yoonis.
The Nexus between Al Shabaab and Somaliland(certain clans) becomes more clear when you look at the 2008 suicide car bombs in Hargeisa.
(SBU) Three suicide car bombs were detonated in Hargeisa. One bomb reportedly exploded inside Somaliland President Dahir Rayale's compound . Octobor 30 2008
Why would they target his compound?
That's not what I.M Lewis wrote about Gabiley. A Scholar worshipped by your people who was fond of your clan. The minorities were Akisho, Gurgure and Madigan. The Baha Samaroon don't live on the pleasure of anyone. It's their native land. We are native to the area and you have gained a upper-hand after the war. Heck even the ignoble Ahmed Samatar and Bayle, the Finance Minister of Somalia are native Gabileans. We were represented in Gabiley during the British Somaliland days. You can't claim the British borders and ignore their representation in Gabiley.
