How often do you speak Somali?

Usually when im home i speak it but when im with friends somali mixed with swedish cuz some of my friends are from xamar and its hard to understand at times.

Bullshit dude, your Somali just sucks. All Somali dialects are mutually intelligible.

Not often. I only speak Somali to older relatives who don't understand English.

Both parents speak english to me and my siblings but I interchange when speaking to them with Somali sometimes just to refresh my Somali.

Need a break in the motherland to increase my vocab doe...

I speak somali all the time except when I am at work. The thing about somali brits yeah they impress their somali roots unlike any other westerns countries.

Us mainland Europeans have to speak local languages (Swedish, Dutch, Finnish etc.) at a native level and English to an advanced level. There is less room for Somali in our brains. You have it too easy with just English. :vo3yidw:

I agree with @Amun Brits got it easy only need to focus on English while we in europe and scandinavia gotta learn 2 languages and a 3rd one but thats more free will

It shouldn't be a problem if you already speak multiple languages.

I try my best to only speak somali with any somali I encounter.

Believe it or not I started learning somali later in life unfortunately so it's been a struggle.

That's no problem, just make sure you stick to it and you might soon amaze people & urself with your Somali linguistic skills.
