You raise some good points tbh.
Right now the Ogaden region joining Somalia wouldn't do said region much good or bring it a lot of benefits.
Currently, they're better off with the more stable Ethiopia. Hopefully the situation changes enough in Somalia that the Ogaden joining Somalia would be beneficial to both parties.

They are under ethnic cleansing by Ethiopians and they would rather join Somalia than be killed and raped by Ethiopians who are not our cousins or our mother or step sister

Second, USA cut your aid and trump 's administration ignored your country. Second, Egyptians wouldn't go to civil war simply the society is more coherent and they don't have tribal system. Plus the Christians are minority who love their country.

Third, the Ethiopian constitution allows the states to separate easily like Eritrea. And Ogaden people (Somalis) do not share religion/language/ethnicity/culture with Ethiopia.
About Somalia, our constitution rejected the separation of any state. Second we are one ethnic group that shares language/culture/history/religion which made whole world to reject recognition of SL. Simply they can not have 3 Somali countries in UN. Djibouti and Somalia are enough.

Last thing, Ogaden as clan is the largest clan in Somalia or NFD, Ogaden (4 or 5millions) and they are found from north to south. And they married from all tribes and each Somali family has Ogaden relative or grandmother.
