Garjante is a large group consisting of several tribes like Dagoodiya, Gaaljecel, Masare, Cowromale, Caalim Mooge etc

Some of the Garjante like Gaaljecel are politically grouped with the Hawiye while others within Garjante are grouped with 0.5

0.5 seats are categorized in 4 groups.

1. Jareeerweyne clans (10 clans)
2. Banaadiri( 5 clans)
3. Ruutis ( tumaal, madhibaan, yaxar, yibir and so on) 5 clans
4. Kulmis clans : this group were created in 2000 in Djibouti carte, as you can see by their name waa dad isku dardar ah.

Kulmis clans are

1. Carab Saalax
2. Garjante
3. Reer awxasan
4. Ajuuraan

These 4 clans went into 0.5 category by choice i think, because what they are getting now, they will never get inside Hawiye / Daarood category.

Reer aw xasan don't fully agree on their ancestor aw xasan kuwayni, some say hes somali sheekhaal but others say hes asharaaf ahlul beyt, so they act as their own little clan
Sheekhaal as a clan name is very vague doesnt tell you anything

When you look back at the amazing stories about the ajuraan clan, it’s pretty sad that they ended up in the 0.5 category. What were the reason for their downfall?

Imean theres a lot of isaaq nearly on the level of its own major clan but i dont know too much of somali population demographics

How did Warsangeli only get 5 and Ciise got 8 ? No wonder some Cawramaleh jumped to 0.5 in order to get seats.
