I saw a documentary about this kidnapping and it's true, it's mostly young teenage girls who are kidnapped without the parents knowledge I think there is a movie coming out about it. It's not arranged they steal the girl.

Nope according to religion point of view the marriage is invalid if the bride is kidnappe, but we have guy and girl who running away to get married without permission of their parents and it is very rare.

I said my opinion, so because I'm somali I don't have a right to an opinion? No one has ever commented badly on my looks or ever said anything other than somalis are handsome people to me. Frankly most of the recent backlash to somalis is because of our ego and a certain unfortunate looking actor.

The culture I was raised with is nothing like habashi culture, they're beaten by their husbands and can't even talk back. They're marrige is eshi eshi and not looking directly at their husbands. Sorry if I made the assumption that the majority of somalis would find that abusive and divorce worthy. They have a diff culture to somalis, I'm not sure how that's controversial to say .

This old beef is about Arab and Israel and Somalis never went war with is Israel which is fact because Somalia joined the Arab league in 1974 after last war between Arab countries and Israel had finished in 1973.
