How well can you speak somali?

I noticed most European somalis speak proper somali. Vast majority of Canadians I've met don't speak but understand common speech, Americans are the same as canadians but a little better and kids from carabta think they're a bunch of Abu Macsaro so they choose not to speak somali even with their parents

Tbh writing is the easiest part. You just need to remember that Somali is written exactly how it sounds.

Well the problem is that I can't speak it well enough to feel confident enough to write in it. I'm not too bothered by it though because I speak better Somali than some of older relatives.
