HSM loyalists/Hiraab Were the Real Winners Out Of This Ethiopia Somalia Port Deal

HAGs aren't reasonable enough to negotiate with.
I understand if this is about HSM and such, but what makes them unreasonable to negotiate with. We are all somali at the end of the day, the most thats happened is some minor qabil fights or whatever. I dont like this Us vs Them mentality is brings us nowhere and just makes the problem worse.

Garacaad was as much about PL as it is connecting (economically) with DDS through GGG line, who went ahead and purposely subverted the incoming funds for it?
GGG line as in garacad, garowe and galkacyo I assume. That is all well and its great they have an easier access to the sea. DDS, really I think connectivity via roads will be an issue all the major towns have asphalted roads towards jigjiga and the north so that route was easier. Its under illegal ethiopian occupation, They dont even control the hinterlands of galbeed all to well to this day ( especially the area with pland).

I have no clue who and why some would subvert funds for garacad, Another marker of a failed government states arguing about aid, we need leadership so much wasted potential.

SL are the best neighbours, why? They stay in their land and focus on themselves and whenever they step out of line, they get their annual karbash (to remind them again of 25th August), its a cycle but in between they are civil. HAG are dowladiid, they hate to see anyone with a Dowlad or any functioning system of governance. Hence the subversion of PL, JL, they would subvert SL but his cuqdad towards Darood is greater than his cuqdad towards dowladnimo. They are animals who aren't ready to be governed (hence Xalane amidst the apartheid state they live in).

Really man? Is this what it has all come to, you prefer a separatist state controlled by a crazed few(Not all support sland) that shells cities?? Annual Karbash??nigga

This dowlad including that 'hag' you keep describing, all of it is Every single part is dysfunctional. Your are just complaints are better aimed at the 4.5 system. Its True hsm and the previous leaders havent been all good but blame it on those qabilists and not the people they are not animals. People dont voluntarily live under xalane. Horta didnt Yusuf CREATE xalane when he invaded?? This federalism is a joke and im not supporting either side here

Xalane was simply a military post meant to be used by foreign forces when AY was president, under HSM it ballooned into a bureaucratic village, Somalia’s federal government established on the understanding that it was meant to be transitional and the leaders essentially caretakers meant to oversee the process of state building.

1. 4.5 was meant to be temporary, eventually once all the duties of the TFGS were completed, we’d be closer to one man one vote.
2. HSM wants to rush the process for some unfathomable reason and call elections when he controls little more than xamar and hasn’t taken the fight to AS, forget that even, there are no political parties, no platforms, nothing.
3. We say HAG because they chose him in xalane and they seem the most content with the current state of affairs.

Having parties and one man one vote with political parties would be way worse for somalia and basically sets the future for somalia, SOmalia dosent need democracy that is what ruined it. Twice actually before and after kacaan. We need something like turkey, theres some aspect for foreign legitmacy. But its all one intelligent person who runs things. Somalia needs to catch up on 40 years of stangnation and democracy fueled by qabil wont cut it. Trust me that is when I would become a qabilist like you guys, We will end up like Pakistan where the good candidates are simply to weak for the system and deposed once they get a good leader.

Saying Somalia doesn’t need democracy while also living in and enjoying a democracy is just pure hypocrisy

Thats the thing, Somalia and America are worlds apart in their situations. And American democracy is all controlled in my view but their strong institutions hold it together. There is already massive lobbying problem in america, imagine how it is in somalia. Just look around, at our fellow african countries 'enjoying' democracy. The truth is, democracy only works when a country gets advanced. All the western countries were able to industrialize, develop, and colonize while unified under one leader/government. Then to sustain that wealth and position of development they switched over to democracy and the systems you see today. But even then the best way to rule a government is with islam

You are correct. Many developed countries today started off as monarchies or dictatorships that had to built its institutions, education and wealth first before heading into democrcy. Just look at the 1960s Somali government, the democracy there was a failure because it wasn't developed at all when it started.

Me and @Shimbiris is not arguing against democracy. Just that it's not a good starting point. Even Siad Barre regime became more democratized and that was the plan all along hence the name the ''Somali Democratic Republic'' they started to build elected democratic institutions with a general parliament, congresses and committees and run by elected officials in represented social organizations. This went through a rigorous educational process of at least 7 years.

Scroll down through page 19- you will have a break down of it all

I have described in other posts how governmental wise it was less corrupt, more efficient and implemented real effective policy changes and more stable.

A little a bit about the improved administrative efficiency:

Somali Parliament in the late 1970s . Filled with elected highly educated people and had to go through regular seminars and training courses for many years. And 7 year long educational program how to efficiently run state functions and organizational duties.
