They’ve been talking about developing this land for years good to see it finally happening. It’s an absolutely huge piece of property between Buuloxuubey and Medina gate. I know a lot of families that have built apartments in/around the area. Rent in the area is around $500 for a regular apartment but I can see it skyrocketing to $800+.

They should build a new port in Warsheekh or near Jazeer. The traffic is gruelling between Xamar jabjab and lambar afar.

I agree. I think the airport should be built south of the city tbh because that part is more developed but an airport could also act as a way to improve north Mogadishu.

This new Mogadishu stuff is fake. It’s to divert people’s attention from the deal he made with Ethiopia. Spoke to locals on the ground who confirmed it being a dream being sold especially to his own people to keep them happy. The only thing being build is that massive hotel in Buuloxuubey. It’s share between HSM and other businessmen.

No one in Somalia has the money to build a huge brand new airport and a new port. You will need a crazy loan from China or Saudi Arabia for that kinda stuff. I do respect HSM’s hustle though. He knows how to satisfy the low iq zoo’s back home
