I Agree, PL receives most of the aid allocations in Somalia, they get alot of the SFG budget, they have their own port, don't pay a penny to the SFG taxes, but yet prints fake money. Puntites need to hold these thieves accountable, they're hurting the entire country.

Farmaajo and co don't have the necessary institutions (competent central bank) or political leverage in place to replace the dying shilling.
If they do anyways they'll face the risk of moving more towards the dollar because of the lack of credibility they have.
If they don't then we'll end up in a recession because of lack of direction from the government.
The former option seems to be the better one as we'll be able to recover quickly as the new currency gains ground.
Still a risky move but something needs to be done.

We are all poor , whether we are in Djibouti, Somalia Kenya or Ethiopia we are poor. Those few of us who are rich in these countries are often corrupt.

65% of the population are illiterate and can't understand how inflation works; but one thing they do understand is "lacag been abuur ah". That's all these politicians have to say in order to buy more time and keep this cycle of Xoolonimo going.
There's so much work to do in Somalia, but the national past time from MPs has become "hoos u dhac".
