I have a love and hate relationship with maths. For starter: I suck at it. Like I’m really bad at it. But also love learning about the meaning behind maths and the nature of it. The concept and the structure behind it.

Just learning the fact that maths is used for everything: to finance, to clocks, weights, heights, angles. Ect…

It shows how maths is one of the greatest achievements of mankind but also the most complex.

No it has nothing to do with ethnicity just individuality. I’ve met somalis that are good at maths. Very good at it. I have families that are far better than me. Just I have a bad history in dealing with it. Maybe is a probable learning difficulties ( Dyscalculia) I have or math anxiety maybe. Not sure.

But I still love learning about it and challenging myself.

I’ve got to take 2 more higher level math courses for my major, and then I don’t ever have to sit in a math class again

I don’t hate the subject, but once I got to Calculus 3, things just got more weird and abstract. It was easier than Cal 1 and Cal 2 combined though.

That’s just generalisation, just cos you hang with people who are terrible at math doesn’t mean everyone else is too.

One of the smartest guys I knew was Somali.

I used to like maths but I just realised it was just fun to do. Also there aren’t any new concepts you learn after 18. From what I see it’s just spamming proofs
