please consider this
1- how does the first wife feel? did you have a conversation with her? with a new child on the way there is a lot of things that go through a new mom's mind, so if she isn't really want to have a polygamous relationship don't force it on her, and please don't consider divorce, just move on.
2- are you financially capable? with a new baby on the way and her needs and your responsibility with your first wife is so important. so you cant treat both wives differently

3- are you mentally prepared? pray long and hard because being married to 2 isn't easy and peaches and cream. ain't for the weak honestly. some (not all ) polygamous marriages fail because the man was very neglectful.

There are many reasons for getting a second wife it’s not just about lust. If it was a harmful thing Allah would’ve made it haram, but the truth is He knows his creation best.

If you asked a group of men would they take a second wife if there were no financial burdens and the previous wife would be ok with it...what do you think the majority of men would say?

The only thing holding men back in the times we’re living is that most can’t handle the financial burden of one wife let alone two.

Saying all that tho hold your horses. Your marriage is still new, before you get a second wife you have to build your first base...meaning after she has 4+ children then you can try the second wife move.

With only 2 kids she would most likely bail out on you, but with 4+ she will be too invested.

Also if you’re living in the west I would advise against you remarrying, Firstly, getting married again most likely means that your first marriage will end and also the financial burdens are too much unless you’re making mad money.

For now just think about your current wife and kids and build a strong base.
