How old is E-BY8081? Where’s the other daroodka dominating particularly OG?
Not many Ogaden have done full ydna and most of them Are private with thier result we need to see at least 5 ogaden with same haplogroup to come to conclusion…

J-CTS5368 isn't necessary a habashi haplogroup. The guy from reddit is originally from bari nugaal. His family moved to bale around a hundred years ago. He thought that he was a dhulbahante but according to him his closest matches is cumar cade and cissa cade i think they are madhibaan if i'm not mistaken.

Thats interesting. I have never heard of madhibaans in my family, not even qaraabo cousins.

I think when more karanle from galbeed do the test, we'll have a better picture.

So... I got my results, any of the haplogroup experts feel free to help me break it down. It turns out my half brother (aabo's side) did the DNA test too way before so I know my paternal haplogroup too 😏

Maternal haplogroup: m1a5 (murusade FULL Sabti)

Paternal haplogroup: J-CTS5368 (Sexawle Karanle)

Now I'm confused, because I've never come across this Y haplogroup and it seems to link back to middle east. However I have NO middle eastern DNA. I'm 99.6% east african.

I am 13.9% Ethiopian because my paternal great grandma was full Ethiopian).

I found 463 relatives most being my 3rd cousins 🤔

Mashallah abaayo, your pure Somali. I was expecting Sexawle to test positive for T1a given the long history Northern Karanle share with dir.

Don’t let anyone shame you for your haplogroup. So far many Somali clans including Warsangali, Madhibaan, dhulbahante and others have tested positive for J. Furthermore most north Somalis are T which is also Middle Eastern. Considering the fact that the clans of the harangue highlands are much more fluid and the how multi ethnic it once was your results aren’t surprising.

I’m trying to get tested soon aswell inshallah. I’ll post my results and let you guys know once I purchase a kit

Hey Abowe, not at all! I'm very intrigued with my haplogroup and looking forward to dig deep into it 😊

Dads side definitely mixed with Harari and other Ethiopian ethnic groups from my perspective, especially since Imam Ahmed Gurey was Karanle -and may have had a harari or arab mother, we have been inter-maryying for a ver long time.

I matched with many of my mothers relatives on 23andme like my second cousins and 3rd cousins - who I actually know of.

I look forward to finding out yours Inshallah x

Don't listen to this gracs, Our haplogroup has zero habesha, and we have formed our own subclade 2000 years ago.

Have you done the Subcladefinder?? If you so, then i can let you know a quick history on how you might end up with the haplogroup. :2tjlv3e:

This thread isn't about E- Haplohgroup, main character syndrome is crazy walhi, go seek attention elsewhere

Not yet, I'm trying to get my brother to send his data or do it himself but it's hard to get through to him! Whenever I do, I will definitely try that.

Are you Madhibaan? And if you are, aren't you Gorgaate hawiye?

Madhiban/tumaal are Semitic people according to dna the only clan in somalia predominantly tested jm267… they are not darood neither are hawiye, this gorgaate hawiye is a fake name ,the story that they killed hawiye ugus and became outcast because of that is a fiction story

"originally from harar" bro thats just a bunch of people making up fake origin stories, Sheekhash are just Somali

you dont always have to ask "where we are originally from" 💀
My haplogroup and dna testing says otherwise lmao a lot North African sheik who was an Arabized Berber who came to harar to spread Islam married into Somali and some Oromo clans to spread the religion to people hence the name sheekhal. Sheekhal became somali through assimilation and don’t really share the same origins as other Somalis but we are still Somalis you get it?

just like every clan makes up story, doesnt change the fact your dna is probably mostly somali

i dont know why but in our community so many people are obsessed with haplogroups and sh*t, i blame it on somalis tribalistic nature which is obsessed with clans and lineage
