The only country in the Horn of Africa that has had multiple peaceful presidential elections and also peacful tranfer of power from one president another , it is truly remarkable. Congratulations to Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi! As a Samaroon from Awdal, I have to say im very proud of my country!

I’m pretty sure we don’t have General elections yet.Most of Africa does have relatively peaceful elections SL is small though shared by one ethnic group hard to compare to other countries!

Somaliland's pulled off 8 peaceful elections since 2003, something a lot of countries can’t say. Even Kenya or Uganda couldnt do that

In Uganda, a dictator by the name Musevenih as been in charge since 1986 and In Kenya, there was violence during the 2007-2008 electione after the election results were disputed and there was also violence and massive protests in 2017 elections.

Well Uganda doesn’t have elections so that doesn’t count since there’s a dictatorship.But then again this doesn’t really mean anything people are going to protest when they feel as if the elections aren’t accurate they want the best for themselves!
