Yeah 100% there is simply no 'clean' way in almost all cases to create smaller qabiil based units. It's either you manage to create a regional based identity - attachment to land and all its inhabitants and a decentralised state or Somaliweyne and centralised government based on Somalinimo like with other nation-states.

What’s stopping any country from taking over Somalia as we speak, we’re split into two and our military down south cannot contain internal insurgents let alone fight off an active invasion.It’s a weak argument, the people that push for Somaliweyn usually have no confidence in the region they’re from.
