I met a dog that a rescue from a dog meat factory today

There’s actually a couple of rescue dogs from meat factories here at new job. The dog I met today is named Mister and he’s a Korean Jindo. One of my neighbors had one.

My manger told that a couple of restaurants in Chicago was selling dog meat. What do you think of dogs as food ? I think it’s unethical because it’s unnecessary and the treatment of dogs are terrible. The Japanese don’t eat dogs, so maybe that’s why they don’t f*ck with other Asians like that…….

But to be fair to Koreans and the Chinese, they’re not the only people that eat dog. Some Native Americans eat them, too. I knew one. He was one of old coworkers. Hawaiians actually had a dog that was raised for food.
It’s called the Hawaiian Poi dog. They’re extinct now, though.

If you have other animals to eat then it seems awfully unnecessary and since they're basically carnivores it's inferior nutritionally to eating herbivores and probably more risky disease and infections wise. There's a reason carnivores rarely eat other carnivores in nature.

It's not actually Somali culture or tradition to ride camels. Somalis and Afars revere camels too much for that. Only small children, the elderly, sickly or pregnant women were allowed to ride them. Able bodied adults and adolescents were not. They were for transporting goods and possessions as well as for trading and in some instances for meat. The Somali riding animal was principally the horse.
