I ploaded my 23andme rawdata into illustrativeDNA

I uploaded my raw data to IllustrativeDNA and ran the Global25 analysis. Here’s what I got! I need to hit the books to learn alot about my Cushitic awoowe before my time’s up. All this time, I thought my awoowe was Caqiil ibnu Adii Dalib 😃.

What’s your clan
It seems like Somalis vary a bit and are not exactly the same. I seen an Isaaq dude on this site with 10% mota DNA while I had 0.

Someone also said Somalis in the northern regions have higher Natufian compared to southerners, I don't think they provided any evidence though.

I read somewhere that the Savanna Pastoral Neolithic sample is 55% Eurasian with the rest being SSA. That would make you only 47% SSA with the rest being Eurasian. Pretty strange results for a full Somali, do you have any recent admixture?

My first guess is he’s a Somali from the north

What’s your definition of Southern Somalis,if you mean in the lower Shabelle and jubba areas I’ve not seen one, maybe @Step a side has seen some
I feel like anything below Hiiraan and we might start seeing some variation.

Found results for a southerner.

Slightly higher SSA here compared to other results we see in the north but not much.

Also, here's the break down of the results for East African Pastoralist sample from the same thread:

Target: Kenya_EarlyPastoralN

Distance: 5.7632% / 0.05763222

50.8 Israel_Natufian

25.4 Sub_Saharan_African:Eastern_African

19.8 Sub_Saharan_African:Eastern_African_Hunter-Gatherer

2.0 Morocco_Iberomaurusian

1.4 Caucasus_Hunter-Gatherer

0.6 Levantine_Neolithic_Farmer

I was off with my calculations here, he's actually 53% SSA 47% WEA. The additionial SSA in the Natufian would put him within range for a Somali.
