I swear Americans are too tolerant.

He gave a perfect answer. They dont have hypocricy. You were probably in the club with him but u wouldnt want ur daughter to do tht not due to "damiir" its just hypocricy. Lol

Haha tbh even in my jaahil youth I still knew deep down that this lifestyle wasn't right. Its one thing knowing that you're sinning and wrong, its even worse thinking that what you're doing isn't a sin and is normal.

But yes at that time i was a hypocrite if im being honest, since a hypocrite is one whose actions are contrary to what he believes in his heart. I was saying and feeling one thing, but my actions were the complete opposite. I guess maybe my heart didn't get to the point of being so corrupt that I thought that lifestyle was okay, and I'm grateful for that because I did feel a sense of shame and quit that lifestyle whilst in my second year at uni.

As an adult now i realise that a part of being a good father, good husband and a brother is looking out for female and male relatives and showing them the right way and being a protective figure. Of course a lot of women don't like the word protective, because they think it might be oppressive or lead to too much control and eventually honour killing and stuff like that.

But still being a father now with experience of non-muslim lifestyles and seeing how easily a youngster can go astray, it's a duty for me to protect and show both my son and daughter the right way. Is it hypocrisy? I don't think so I just want the best for them, my son to treat women with the same respect he would wish his mum/sisters and daughters to be treated with, to become a better man than me and for him to get married in a Halal way, and for my daughter not to be a fleeting fling for some random guy, become an honorable woman and inshallah find a good husband who she can start a real family with.
