I think first/second cousin arranged marriages are the best way forward

As long as you don’t do it continuously generation after generation since it leads to diseases and disabilities. You need new blood every now and then but even then you should marry someone from your sub sub sub clan(which is further enough).

I will marry my daughters to my brothers sons when they reach 17 inshallah.

These so called “love” marriages are absolutely stupid.

As if we don't have enough low IQ baboons running around you want to add to the equation.

With blood and Iron will we reach the fatherland
I have no female cousins my age so im happy to say this is not a option :samwelcome:

This is the few things I will never understand about my muslim brothers/sisters. How on earth can somebody marry his own cousin? In habesha tradition, you will be stoned to death if you marry your own cousin :) because cousins are seen as own siblings and you grow up with them being told they are your siblings. It is unthinkable to marry your own cousin.

What about Habesha Muslims? Are cousin marriages considered normal among Habesha Muslims?

Anyways, from what I heard, there's nothing wrong with cousin marriages as long as your parents and their forefathers were not engaging in it. If your bloodline is clean from cousin marriage then you could marry your cousin without any deficient possibility (If God wills).

I am not sure but I think they may also marry their cousins. I am not really sure.
You are talking about biology, I am talking about ethics. There is no way any habesha (at least christian) marry a cousin. In our tradition, you are not even allowed to marry if you are related in any form. Traditionally before any marriage, there is a meeting of families and elders from both sides called family council. Their main task is to make sure you guys are not in any way related to the 7th degree. You can't marry your relative let alone your cosine who are your siblings.
