That constraint is not a big problem. We have archeology, anthropology, genetics, etc. We have cemeteries (tumuli, mounds, and cairns) that stretch from 2000 plus years all the way deep into the medieval written historical era in the Somali lands that show striking continuity. Somalis are comprehensively verified by all accounts. The consistency of the ancient economy is amazing, and it is verified by even written sources, was the basis for the Islamic civilization of the region's greatness, not only the material wealth found underneath the soil for the pre-Islamic era.
