If Somaliland joins Somalia will there be a new flag and a new name?

Although I will always advocate for an independent Somaliland but let's just say that fails for many years and Somaliland decides to rejoin Somalia would there be a name change? do you think it would be renamed to Somali Republic or Samale? how would it work the reunification? I would also assume the flag to change aswell to something everyone agrees. I wonder this. I will be honest the chances of Somaliland gaining independence is sadly slim I wish but ssc kinda walked away from us and i doubt cirro will take ssc back since they fought for themselves.

It feels that way but we will see. And if that day ever was to come we definatley shouldn't keep the name Somalia. It feels biased. The name and the flag should change something like Somali Republic to unite all somalis. We will see cirro what he does in his 4 year reign

explain why pro somalia faction don't maintain control over the majority of the territory they only have access to certian strongholds. The people there are mostly pro SL and are only fed up due to bad leadership in SL which is fair to admit.

The reality is that after tf was created in 2012 the chance of somaliland becoming independent declined drastically. From 1991 to 2012 was that golden period where there was probably some legitimate chance of somaliland becoming independent. Somalia today while still fragile is fundamentally in a diffrent position. On top of all the restrictions and bans removed over the last couple years.
1) weapons ban removed
2) aligning with international banking standards
3) navy being rebuild
4) 5 army bases being built by America
5) billions in debt canceled
6) national payment system between banks establishments that they all use now
7) national electronic ID system established
8) part of international telecommunications associations
9) somalia national stadium, museum and theater have all been rebuild and are now open
10) somalia regained control of its airspace

While some of these might seem small . All of this happened within the last 5 years.

It's not really propaganda I can understand why this would be difficult for you to accept. But I didn't state anything that wasn't factual. In fact I didn't even include the most important fact that most countires would be very much against somaliland gaining independence since it would set a precedent for countless secssion movments. The only country that I could see supporting it would be ethiopia. The international community is loathed to support any breakaway state especially after South sudan.

Geopolitical is all about profit vs loss. There is nothing that any of the major powers or even regional power would gain from supporting somailand independence

SSC is gone, and DH weren't as invested in SL even though their elders proposed the idea of separating from Somalia( from what I've heard) I'm not familiar with their internal politics, but politically the elders in Gadabuursi are pretty much looking at Cirro reign certain promises need to be fulfilled will see what happens over the next 4 years.

You need to look at a map, Awdal is quite mountainous and we easily source cheap weapons from our Cisse cousins across the border, if we wanted to leave SL it would have happened, be thankful the middle/rich within the Gadabuursi have lots of investment in the region, and this time we won't be fighting the Cisse across SR.

Inshallah Somali galbeed also joins along. I'm all for pro somaliland but they have to be fair and just but to be honest I doubt that day will come since ssc is gone there's really nothing left for us for an independent nation.
