Somaliland Foreign Minister - Sool needs peace not war, the International Community's proposal of 4 points has been accepted by us of immediate cease fire, the two military commanders ti establish dialogue, repatriation of priosoners and talks to start.
Minister Sacad Cali Shire said this conflict is much bigger and anything we have seen in terms of preparation, vocal mobilisation is the first we have witnessed. Other battles have been skirmishes. He said Puntland is getting support from somewhere else.
Michael Keating the SRSG to Somalia met with Djibouti President Ismail Omar Ghelle who he asked to intervene in the conflict between PL and SL.

They will rue day they decided to claim our Sool and Sanaag. They could've recognised Somaliland and had a peaceful neighbour. In fact Somaliland never had any beef with Puntland but with the Somalia federal government. But Puntland make a grave mistaking choosing conflict over peace with Somaliland. They mis underestimated Somaliland's resolve. Puntland should relinquish Sool and Sanaag for the sake of peace
