What about the Irish refugees 120 years ago? The ones who fled the potato famine? I know initially the Irish had high crime rates, but it dropped dramatically over the years. There were plenty of Jews who fled their country in the 1930s when Hitler took power, scattering all over the world and yes, many of them were rejected and sent back to Europe.
