Islam promotes Science which that resulted in the Golden Ages. Also lets not forget that if it wasn't for the Islamic Golden Age the renaissance wouldn't happen and we wouldn't have the knowledge, technology and science today. Did Christianity promote Science? Nope! lol

Christianity at least has some clear references to separation of church and state (''give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God'' - it took awhile to sink in, but it did) that allows for secular rule of law and science to flourish under Christian societies. While in Islam the religion tends to become way too engrained into the government and totally hampers any serious growth of modern science.

Also, Christianity had its reformation suppressing its primitive tendencies while in Islam there still has never been a major societal reformation.
