@Abdinasser I was confused because earlier you said that Somaliland will be recognized legally so that's why I was confused, it was the discrepancy in your statements. @Laila and I, for the life of us can't understand why recognition is more likely to come now than any previous point in Somaliland's great history.
Let me make it clear. When Kosovo was recognized, who did it? Hague or independent nations? also who recognized South Sudan? I don't know how you linked the independence of Somaliland to Hague court. is that clear to you?

This is a serious and genuine question. When does Somaliland plan to do something about the Khat problem?

@Abdinasser , just to open up your horizon and maybe allow you to see the light that I must mention that 80% of the Tahriiibs are Somalilanders.

I was there recently abd I've engaged the youth there and they were all certain that they were gonna hit the high seas.

This is why I do not believe in this entity. It's all about few government leaders and their family eating good while redding the rest a false diet of independence.
please where did you get that statistics. is it what you dreamed up or some thing that has been researched before I shed light to other part of your comment?

Okay, I guess I must be very confused. You said you researched the legal case for recognition and that Somaliland might pursue a case in UN judicial branch which I succinctly pointed out was the Hague.

Kosovo isn't really a good example. It had the backing of the United States and United Nations way before it declared its independence. Somaliland declared its independence and got no response. Foreign governments have said multiple times they have no intention to recognize it whether United States or its colonial master United Kingdom, the response has been the same in the international community.

East African countries have been the same since they have secessionist movements in their country. So again, I can't see a logical reason Somaliland should pursue this strategy. Isn't doing the same thing over and over again insanity?

You asked me when (Time). In my opinion the government should come up a reform that inclusively deals with this problem that affected the country badly, the legislatives should enact a decree that that taxes this plant, and create funds to help that rely on the sale of this plant.

we agree to disagree, and it is the beauty of discussion to look things different angles. What we have is global support, legal case and the will of the people. in 1960 we got our recognition from UK we opted voluntarily Union and this is the legal case. we have established relationship with many countries and made friends. simple is that the independence of Somaliland has been discussed in EU parliament. if you were following the case of Somaliland recognition you can better discuss this with me

I understand you have mentioned your desire to move from a clan-based system of politics, which hasn't been equally representative of tribal demographics that are non-Issaq, to one focused on democratization (a non-tribal system). What would that look like?

Second question:

What would make other nations recognize Somaliland when they have a vested interest in keeping it together with Somalia, given old oil American contracts they had with Somalia proper from bari hore? I don't know if they are still trying to make claims. I just think they have an agenda. I have read that there are mineral resources and oil in what appears to be the disputed Khaatumo region.

Okay I didn't know Somaliland had global support, my bad.

What's about Oromo migration and some of them are second generation who taking jobs from Somalis? Is that any new Oromo expansion?

@Abdinasser what's your legal case for Somaliland? What would you argue in the Hague?
you are right @McD30 . somaliland is going to the hague. the president has announced this is in his state of union address to parliament last month.
the somaliland FM sa'ad shire has verified that. he said they prepared the case and will be presented to international court soon.
this guy is missing some important clues about somaliland or hes not uptodate with current status quo.
