Well democracy is ineffective and inefficient. To go through all the many reasons why would take ages but a lot of people vote on trivial matters like who they believe they could have tea with, whose more attractive, or their misconstrued notion of who'd make the better leader (although this is an improvement at least). And politicians often make hefty promises in the attempt to sway the electorate and win their vote. But I assure you, there are many more negatives about it. It certainly isn't all it's touted to be.
