It is undeniable that corruption unfortunately occurred but certainly nowhere near the corruotion of the outgoing administration. It was par the course for Cold War Africa.
Im not sure why anyone would assume Somalia was an exception to this rule. The only exception was the inability of rebels to simply fill the power vacuum they created after your standard overthrow of a shit government.
