They are a very effective lobby and generous philanthropic group. Ismailis supposedly have agreements with government agencies, the military, and private organizations to have quotas for their hiring. They also have to pay more than 10% of their salary to their Ismaili Imam, alot of it which goes towards education and training for Ismailis around the world. They take care of their community but also do alot of charity work for broader communities. Their Ismaili booth has the best, thickest pancakes during Canada Day celebrations.
For such a small group, they have a lot of high profile Canadians.
