Well I don’t have the context as to what type of lifestyle she’s leading but she’s right in the sense that there are people out here who will look for the bad in every situation there is and how girls tend to have less freedoms in the family compared to women.

I mean I understand that the whole kuffar = free woman idea is bull and this is not what I’m trying to suggest at all but you can’t deny that it’s harder for girls/women to do certain things compared to their male
counterparts.
I think in the video, she brings up the example of some of her family looking at the prospect of her going to Cambridge as simply “leaving the house before she’s supposed to”. I’d argue that it’d be much easier for a man to live in a uni campus judgement free than a woman.
And yes, we don’t have Talibans cutting up people’s faces if we go wayward or anything but there are more implicit pressures, mainly on the social side.
